A paranormal partnership has formed between Bethesda , Tango Gameworks and Laced Records to bring the dark Japanese electronic music of Ghostwire: Tokyo to vinyl record.

Tango wanted to reflect the juxtaposition of modernity and history of Tokyo, where neon skyscrapers and historic temples coexist. Composer Masatoshi Yanagi's goal was to express this unique playing universe using the three wind instruments of Gagaku (ancient Japanese court music): shō, hichiriki and ryuteki (dragon flute). He also explored traditional instruments like the shakuhachi (bamboo flute) and chappa (cymbals), as well as traditional musical scales. These elements mix with dark, modern synthetic sounds and distorted waveforms.

The singer EvE performs the disturbing children's songs which punctuate several of the sides of the record, giving the whole score a childish character.

All 60 tracks have been specially mastered for vinyl and will be pressed on thick discs, on vinyl blacker than the Tokyo night sky. They come in printed inner sleeves which in turn fit into a luxury hardshell box. The cover artwork, created by the team at Tango Gameworks, combines cutting-edge graphic design with the folk horror of Japan.
