Archetype Arcadia is a dark science fiction visual novel set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious disease called the "Original Sindrome" has wiped out most of humanity. The story revolves around Rust and his sister, who travel through empty lands desperately searching for other living humans. All other humans are believed to have fallen victim to the disease, which causes insanity, sensory delusions, and uncontrollable self-destructive urges. The only way to control these symptoms is to spend time in a virtual game called Archetype Arcadia.
