The Cuphead Show! is much more than just an adaptation of Studio MDHR's hit video game: Part reverent homage to early American animated films, part irreverent musical comedy, the show has forged a unique aesthetic identity.
Description
Get ready for adventure!
Ego Plum’s lively and upbeat soundtrack plays a vital role in establishing this identity. Recalling inspirations ranging from ’30s vaudeville to the golden age of ’90s animation, The Cuphead Show’s music has enough personality to match the show’s charming characters. Speaking of characters, they sing too, including a super catchy theme song that will put your gramophone in the best mood.
Here at iam8bit, we can't get enough of Cuphead, Mugman, and Ms. Chalice, so we've teamed up with our friends at Netflix to bring you this: The Cuphead Show! 2xLP, two high-quality 180-gram black vinyl records filled to the brim with the show's energetic music.
For the album cover, we worked with series creator, executive producer (and sometimes songwriter) Dave Wasson to create designs that straddle the line between “classic” and “modern” as skillfully as the series itself. The whole gang is here, from Cuphead and friends to Elder Kettle and even the Devil himself, on one of the inner sleeves. Plus, to top it all off, we’ve included a collectible postcard with original artwork you won’t find anywhere else.
