In 2016, developer Night School Studio brought us their debut title, Oxenfree. It was a different kind of story-driven game, one that paid close attention to crafting organic and meaningful dialogue between its cast, with down-to-earth conversations that stood in stark contrast to the game’s paranormal narrative set on a timeless island. For the game’s soundtrack, composer SCNTFC skillfully weaves the natural and supernatural together, creating a score full of eerie, otherworldly music interspersed with moments of quiet contemplation. By popular demand, iam8bit is proud to bring back the Oxenfree soundtrack on vinyl, six years after its original release. It’s presented here as a 2xLP, pressed on an almost supernaturally translucent orange vinyl and packaged in updated artwork by the talented J.WAV, whose signature style suits this title almost too well. Otherworldly conspiracy or just plain luck? We'll let you be the judge.
