The NEOGEO AES+ is a faithful re-release of the original Japanese machine, retaining all the elements that made it an icon of the 90s, while adding modern features and practical improvements adapted to today's video game era.
A no-compromise gaming machine: Gameplay on the NEOGEO AES+ does not rely on emulation: the console is indeed equipped with its original ASIC chips, re-engineered to modern standards to faithfully reproduce the hardware and software of the original machine.
The system natively reads games from both recent and older cartridges, for the most authentic retro gaming experience. No emulation, no FPGA approximation, but a true reincarnation of the console etched in silicon.
The retro game of the future: While retaining the original look and feel, the NEOGEO AES+ incorporates modern features that improve user comfort, such as low-latency HDMI video output (while retaining the original AV output for CRT enthusiasts), DIP switches for language selection, overclocking and different display modes, as well as the ability to permanently save high scores (optional memory card required).
Arcade authenticity: The NEOGEO AES+ comes with the iconic Arcade Stick (wired), a 1:1 scale replica of the original controller, designed to faithfully reproduce the control panel of SNK's legendary MVS arcade cabinets.
Designed for the NEOGEO AES+, the arcade stick connects natively to the console via the classic 15-pin connector (making it backward compatible with original 90s consoles and making original 90s arcade sticks compatible with the NEOGEO AES+) for an unparalleled arcade experience at home.
This stick is the pinnacle of arcade purity without compromise, offering the look, feel, and responsiveness that defined a generation of games.
