In the single player game, a virus has spread across Earth after aliens invaded it, and nations are struggling to defend it. United armies from around the world have been formed to stop the invasion, but to no avail. The aliens are much more advanced. Advanced technology has allowed them to clone humans!
We don't know who we're fighting anymore! Humans? The aliens have penetrated all the defense lines, and our armies are defeated. The human aliens surround us, that's what we call them. Some humans will be infected, which will cause chaos after they become undead.
Will we win? That's a story that hasn't been told yet.
