Three Kingdoms is the first installment in the award-winning Total War series to explore the epic conflicts of ancient China. Combining a thrilling campaign of conquests and annexations with impressive real-time battles, Three Kingdoms redefined the series in this age of heroes and legends.

The soundtrack team was led by Creative Assembly audio director Richard Beddow, accompanied by Richard Birdsall, Tim Wynn and Simon Ravn. Aided by Chinese music specialists, the orchestral soundtrack is interspersed with traditional instruments and harmonies, transporting players to a time of honor, struggles, and dynasties. The ensemble includes the Sofia Session Orchestra and the FILMharmonic Orchestra.
