Beyond the big names, discover the treasures that deserve your attention.
Okay, you love video games. Mario, Dark Souls, Halo, we know them. Today, I'm offering you a little dive into the unsuspected depths of the Shop: discover or rediscover super fun but overlooked games! Some were released at the same time as a huge game and stayed in the shadows, others just never received the reception they could have had... Here's a selection of titles that flew more or less under the radar and deserve your attention!

Against the Storm
We start with Against the Storm, where you'll have to build your city with continuous expansion. The roguelite component allows you to keep accumulating useful knowledge for your expansion, even if parts of your city fall: the more you build, the better you build! A beautiful indie game to die for, with graphics that personally remind me of Warcraft. The cover doesn't say much about its gameplay, but the adventure is definitely there, it's worth checking out!

Inner Ashes
Next game, Inner Ashes. Here we're on a "walking sim" adventure: relax, the story will be told to you calmly throughout your walk and puzzles. The pitch? You are a forest ranger facing Alzheimer's disease. The disease takes away your memories and you go in search of answers. Time to reflect a little on this subject that can affect all of us. Nice bonus: the physical edition includes, among other things, a small book presenting the game's cool comic book-style artwork on paper.

A Space for the Unbound
A Space for the Unbound: behind this long and uninviting English name lies a 2D pixel-art "slice of life" adventure with supernatural elements. The story takes place 30 years ago, we follow two high school students in Indonesia who must overcome a threat that could end the universe as we know it. Between everyday worries and a catastrophe beyond imagination, it's an adventure that is both exotic and close to us, but above all a refreshing and unforgettable narrative. If you like captivating stories, go for it! The collector's edition includes lots of cool little goodies that will remind you of your adventure. In the same vein, we also recommend Until Then which will be released in physical edition this year!

Dungeon Munchies
We stay in 2D pixel-art with Dungeon Munchies but we completely change style: this is action-packed dungeon exploration! The principle is simple, you traverse undergrounds in search of creatures to cook. Yes, you read that right, it's primarily a culinary adventure! Hunt monsters, and then cook them to get boosts for your next descents. It's up to you to discover the "original" flavors that can be found in the meandering depths full of fantastic creatures of Dungeon Munchies! The supernatural story and strange monsters will make you come back again and again, if only to complete the recipe book.

Wanted: Dead
Let's move on to the light soda with Wanted: Dead, the unlikely mix of hack & slash and third-person shooter. With its assumed exuberant side, its silly-funny mini-games, and especially its CUTE LITTLE KITTY 😻, it has won the hearts of players who took it for what it is: a head-banging action spree reminiscent of the glory days of the PlayStation 2. With its atmosphere of "over-armed elite squad against zombies in cyberpunk Hong Kong", it offers a unique and crazy atmosphere, to be experienced like a B-movie that embraces its budgetary limitations. The little extra: the very pink cover of this PEGI 18 game!

PlateUp!
If you missed it, now's your chance to catch up! PlateUp! is a real-time restaurant management game where you take orders, prepare, serve... You already know it, it's Overcooked!, but here, it's less about the "rush" and more about strategic planning: you create the layout of your restaurant, which you can optimize as you go, you create chains with conveyor belts to facilitate the delivery of dishes... In short, each new service is an opportunity to unlock features to make life easier and gain productivity! The best part: invite friends to help each other out and discover new improvements together. The collector's edition contains figures of the little "Jelly Bean" characters you embody 🤗

Clive 'n' Wrench
One last one for the road? Clive 'n' Wrench is a tribute to 3D platform games from the 2000s. In the vein of Banjo-Kazooie and Spyro, it emphasizes exploration and collecting little secrets everywhere. Developed by a solo creator for over 10 years, it's a true passion project that breathes nostalgia and love for the franchises of our childhood. The duo of heroes is endearing, there are plenty of fun worlds to visit... What more could you ask for? 🐰
So, did you know these games?
